Lisa Wynja works alongside the Patient and Community Education Liaison Team at Genetix Biotherapeutics. She has over two decades of experience in advocacy, training, and leadership positions in hematology, hemoglobinopathies, and rare disease. She is passionate about helping patients navigate healthcare and understand the therapeutic options available for their disease. An engaged listener and learner, she feels privileged to have the opportunity to hear the needs of the Sickle Cell Community and be a resource. She is honored to share her experience in healthcare helping educate and empower Warriors in the Sickle Cell Community about advancements in therapies. She lives in the Denver, CO area.

Morgan is a certified Integrative Nutrition Health Coach with a master’s degree in Community Psychology from Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University. Dedicated to helping individuals reconnect with their true nature, she empowers clients to embrace their bio-individuality and trust the innate wisdom of their bodies.

Foluso “Joy” Ogunsile grew up in Greenville, SC, in a family of Nigerian descent. She pursued her undergraduate studies at Duke University in Durham, NC, where she majored in Biology and African American Studies. After college, she spent a year conducting intramural research at the National Institutes of Health (NIH). She then earned her medical degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, followed by a combined residency in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN.

During her residency, Dr. Ogunsile observed the significant healthcare disparities affecting adults with sickle cell disease (SCD), which inspired her to specialize in hematology. She completed a fellowship in hematology at Johns Hopkins University, with a specific focus on SCD. After fellowship, Dr. Ogunsile joined the University of Alabama at Birmingham, where she worked at a comprehensive sickle cell center for three years. During this time, she conducted research on nutrition and exercise in SCD and was awarded a competitive investigative fellowship.

Driven by a deep passion to improve both the quality of life and lifespan for individuals with sickle cell disease, Dr. Ogunsile is dedicated to advancing care through both clinical practice and research. She is currently the Medical Director of the Adult Sickle Cell Medical Home at Memorial Regional Hospital in Hollywood, FL.
