Summer Music Program

Interested in having your child or teen learn how to play a musical instrument this school year from the comfort of your home?

Join us for our annual Summer Virtual Music and Arts Workshop!

Students learn from professional musicians music education and appreciation regarding the history of this unique woodwind. The instrument is a handheld free-reed similar to a pump organ or harmonica which also features a musical keyboard on top, and is played by blowing air through a mouthpiece that fits into a hole on the side of the instrument. Melodicas are small, lightweight, portable and many are designed for children to play!

Rock Scholars Music Program

For the director of music. For Jeduthun. A psalm of David. “Truly my soul finds rest in God; my salvation comes from Him. Truly He is my rock and my salvation; He is my fortress, I will never be shaken.”

—Psalm 62: 1-2 (NIV)

Building Confidence, Creativity, and Community Through Music

The Rock Scholars Music Program is a free, 10-week music education initiative offered by The Hyacinth Scarlett Foundation, Inc. in partnership with DME Sports Foundation and the founder of Elite Academy of Music and Motion. The program introduces underserved children and youth to the joy of music while helping them develop confidence, creativity, discipline, and teamwork.

Participants receive free guitar instruction, access to guitars and music materials, and a program T-shirt. Each weekly session includes hands-on learning, encouragement, and food shared in fellowship. At the end of the program, students celebrate their accomplishments through a special musical performance for family and friends.

Inspired by Hyacinth Scarlett's lifelong passion for music and service, Rock Scholars continues her legacy by making music education accessible to children who might not otherwise have the opportunity.

Through Rock Scholars, we are doing more than teaching music. We are creating opportunities, building friendships, and inspiring the next generation to discover their potential.
